creara energy efficiency & energy saving experts is a member of the Managing Board of the PTE-EE together with the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, The Spanish Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI), The Spanish Centre for Energy, Environmental and Technologies Investigation (CIEMAT), Unión Fenosa, Gas Natural, Iberdrola, Endesa, Universities and other business associations (UNESA, etc).
What is the PTE-EE and what are its objectives?
The PTE-EE was established on the 7th October 2008 as an initiative of the Ministry of Science and Innovation under the Seventh EU Framework Programme. Both its objectives and creara energy efficiency & energy saving experts fundamental values are as follows:
- To encourage the collaboration between the public, industrial and scientific sectors in order to promote R&D in energy efficiency.
- To mediate between the Spanish authorities and society in energy efficiency.
- To represent Spain on an international level in energy efficiency.
What is the PTE-EE structure?
The PTE-EE is made up of six working groups, the presidency, the vice-presidency and the technical secretary. The six afore mentioned working groups and their coordinators are as follows:

- Standardisation and Regulation, coordinated by Iberdrola
- Society, coordinated by creara energy efficiency & energy saving experts
- Equipment efficiency, coordinated by Gas Natural and Salicrú
- Energy consumption and management efficiency, coordinated by Circutor and HC Energía
- New business models and services, coordinated by Unión Fenosa and Applus
- Global integrated systems, coordinated by Schneider Electric and Telvent
To date the PTE-EE has more than 160 assigned members from all sectors, including private companies, public companies, administration and both technology and investigation centres.
What is the Society Working Group of the PTE-EE?
